I’ve struggled with disordered eating and distorted self-image for more than half my life (that’s almost 15 years!).
I went through bouts of intense caloric restriction, developed abnormal eating habits and practiced bizarre food rituals. Needless to say, I was deeply uncomfortable in my own skin for longer than I would have liked.
This all started to change when my younger sister passed away unexpectedly in early 2013. I was heartbroken, distraught and completely alone in my world of grief. I was also desperate for a drastic change in many areas of my life. Before I knew it, I embarked on a whirlwind transformation- I started exercising regularly, learned to eat and create nourishing foods that were able to heal my heart, mind & soul, and most importantly, began to embrace myself exactly for who I am.
I started this blog as a creative outlet where I could share my favorite workouts, recipes, activewear brands and more. In this little haven of mine, I finally get to be 100% me and it’s been such a wonderful revelation. I hope you, my dear reader, will be able to take away something inspirational from this diary; whether it’s a delicious recipe, unknown activewear brand or a surreal travel experience, I hope this site will allow you to escape into a dreamy world of love and positivity.
